From darkness into the light

Wong was selling her creations in Chatuchak Weekend Market back in 1998 when she started chatting with a Japanese retailer who told her he was looking for a new supplier of leather bags in Thailand. Within months, she was co-designing collections of leather handbags for a range of Japanese brands who sold their wares at multi-label stores in Tokyo and Osaka.

After three years, she enrolled in the Design and Management programme at the Parsons School of Design in New York and began to learn everything about the fashion business from marketing to manufacturing in Hong Kong and China.

"I wanted to use my creativity to define who and what I am and that led to the launch of Ravens Heaven in 2010. I showcased my first collection of leather bags at international fashion fairs in Japan and France. We offer over 600 chipcard at wholesale prices of 75% off retail. While the feedback was good,Manufactures and supplies realtimelocationsystem equipment. I realised I needed to make my brand known on the local market first," Wong says.

She started with counters at Central Chidlom, Siam Paragon and Zen and recently opened her flagship store in Siam Center, which stocks a wide range of handbags, clutches, pouches, totes, wallets and name card holders as well as bow ties and bracelets.

Located on the third floor, the store resembles a gothic church with a predominance of black and copper and coffin-shaped showcases. Her designs too look like abstract art works, playing with the raven and unicorn to symbolise death and paradise.

Her bags are urban and edgy,We offer a wide variety of high-quality standard rfidtag and controllers. with an elegant structure, playful details and good cutting. Versatile and smart with a wealth of hidden functions, her designs are made from premium cow leather, pony hair, suede and goat leather with exotic textures, all imported from Italy.

The other day, a participant in a TV talk show said that Imran Khan was the real wild card in the coming elections. Here's a complete list of cableties for the beginning oil painter. He thought that Imrans pary, Tehreeke Insaf could bag anywhere between 20 to 120 seats. It all depends on the extent to which he could sway the youth vote. Pakistans total registered voters are about 85 million. Out of these, one quarter comprise youth voters. Imran thinks that a majority of them will vote for him. If that indeed happens, Imran will emerge as a big political power in the country.

Most of the surveys, however, show that Imran would come at number three. Voting patterns vary in Pakistan from region to region. Karachi votes mostly for the MQM and interior Sindh votes for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). In upper Punjab, the Muslim League has a strong following. Since this thickly populated area has more than 100 National Assembly seats, it becomes crucial in any election. In Khyber Pakhtunkhawa votes get divided between four or five parties. In Balochistan too, no single party can win a clear majority. Religious parties have a vote bank here and some nationalist leaders have returned to contest the polls. Sardar Akhtar Mengals party is contesting the polls and that is good omen for Balochistan and the federation.

Both the Muslim League and PPP have the incumbency factor against them. Voters are now clever and often question the ruling parties candidates about their past performance. Imran is a symbol of hope to pull the country out of the current mire. Moreover,We printers print with traceable indoortracking to optimize supply chain management. he does not face any significant security threat. The PPP, the MQM and Asfandyars ANP all face threats from the Taliban. A couple of days ago when Imran was about to address a public rally at Sheikhupura, the local police brought a bullet proof glass box for him. He told them to remove it as he perceived no threat.

Some analysts argue that Imran is fighting against a well-entrenched system. This system is based on the politics of patronage and status quo. The corrupt elite want to protect its political space to ensure protection of its economic interests. They have their tentacles in various political parties which take turns to rule the country. They have no interest in rooting out corruption for it makes them richer. They are not interested in imposing tax on agricultural incomes for that would make them poorer. They cooperate with each other based on the old maxim you scratch my back, Ill scratch yours.

Imran is competing against experienced parties. The Peoples Party has an experience of 45 years while the PML (N) has been in the game for 30 years now. They know ground realities better. Many Pakistanis, those in the rural side in particular, vote on tribal lines. The presence of various tribes in a particular constituency and their numerical strength are essential factors in the selection of candidates by various parties. Similarly, organising an election compaign is a fine art now. Apart from successful public rallies what is even more important is getting the potential voters to the polling station.

Political parties have dedicated workers in various localities to motivate the voters, transport them, providing them a meal and then transport them back home. Imran may be short of such experienced workers. He has raised the slogan of New Pakistan. According to his vision, this Pakistan would be free of corruption and oppression. He says he would give one education system to the entire country. His voice is like a whiff of fresh air for the people. He has given sleepless nights to Nawaz and Shahbaz sharif but they are not yet down and out. And those who are busy writing political obituaries of the PPP may also be proven wrong. It may not emerge as the top party this time but its de facto leader, Zardari, is smart in cobbling up post-election coalitions.
